DR. STEVE FARIA
Personal Trainer/ Chiropractor
Steve has had a passion for athletics since his early days when he used to compete in a variety of sports from football and basketball to volleyball and track and field. In his senior years of high school Steven focused on playing and weight training for football. These focuses eventually lead to Steven playing linebacker at the varsity level for the York University Lions for 5 seasons. Following his football career, Steven transitioned to training mixed martial arts. For 5 years Steven has been training various martial arts styles including Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and Krav Maga. Not only has Steven been training martial arts but he has also competed in several grappling tournaments and in amateur Thai boxing competitions.
A graduate of York University with an Honors degree in Kinesiology and a graduate at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College Steven has garnered much knowledge in the areas of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition and injury rehabilitation. Steven is skilled in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with dysfunction of the neuromusculoskeletal system arising from occupational, traumatic, and sports related injuries. Through chiropractic care, acupuncture, and strenghtening and conditioning programs, Dr. Faria can help you get back to and exceed your pre injury status. For more information or to schedule and appointment, please contact 905-832-3331.
The combination of Steven’s education and athletic experiences, both in competition and training, make Steven a unique individual with a different and dynamic view on physical fitness and training. This has translated to a training style that challenges both the cardiovascular system as well as the musculoskeletal system. |
