I enrolled with the Studio on December 16, 2014.I was experiencing various aches and pains associated with, not only ageing, but also a sedentary lifestyle during my working years.My goal was to improve my flexibility and fitness and lose some weight.After the mandatory assessment by the Studio, I was paired with Joseph Ho and we agreed to meet twice per week.
During the eighteen sessions that I have had with Joey to March 3, 2015, I have:
-improved my core and am able to balance on one foot while performing exercises
-improved my posture.  I now almost automatically stand straight and not slouch.
-increased my active heart rate from about 120 to 145 without exhaustion.
-lost fat weight and gained muscle weight. (The total weight is still about the same)
-lost inches on my waist while gaining on the thighs and arms.
Overall, I have had a very good experience to date and hope to continue to improve while working with the staff at PMF!

I had an unexpected injury in June 2014 involving torn ligaments around my left ankle. My exercise vocabulary immediately switches from squatting and lifting heavy to stretching and breathing slowly. Over the last few months Michael Antolini has assisted me tremendously, albeit slowly and steadily at the beginning, in regaining both strength and confidence in both my ankle and myself. I am now exactly where I left off pre-injury. Thank you Michael and PMF!

My name is Jess Silver. I’ve been training with Daniel Cecchino for 4 years. His expertise and passion for fitness, has helped me overcome various challenges that I face that are attributed to having Cerebral Palsy, Spastic Diplegia, and Scoliosis, and to also become extremely passionate about training. My condition affects my ability to walk independently. It also causes muscle tightness and impairs spatial perception, balance, and gait patterning. Scoliosis has caused my balance to be further impaired and has made it more challenging to stand up and walk due to the spinal curvature.
Training has improved my flexibility and mobility, and helped my strength to increase drastically. Because we’ve focused on increasing flexibility and mobility, I am able to stand with less assistance for longer periods of time, and balance in both sitting and standing, with more confidence.
Our training has increased my overall quality of life as it has allowed me to feel progressively stronger, and capable of firing specific muscles in order execute movements.  The flexibility and strength that I’ve gained, helps me to manage muscle spasms, and exhibit greater control of my body and mind in circumstances where I previously wouldn’t have felt secure. Working consistently with Daniel, has helped my strength and mobility to improve, and it has given me a newfound awareness of my body as well as the ability and will, to be unafraid to take on more challenging exercises.

My daughter is revving up for another season. Watching her play pre-season makes it obvious to me how far she’s come and makes me reflect on the impact you and PMF have had on her and her team. I wanted to thank you and Duane and update you on their progress.

If you recall, when we met, her team was struggling mightily and under performing significantly. They were muddling around in the middle ranks of the mid tier of OVA’s girls volleyball. She was one of the better players even then but had room for improvement in strength and consistency.

Then we began your program with sport specific strength training, general performance nutrition education and athlete specific nutrition programs. The girls responded amazingly. Within six weeks we climbed from the second tier to premier level or the top tier in the province. They continued to rapidly improve and within ten weeks of starting the program, the girls finished fifth in the top tier of the Ontario provincial championships. Several weeks later, they rose even higher by achieving fifth in the country at the top tier of the Canadian National championships. Middle of the middle to fifth in the country. A truly impressive result.

Watching tryouts this fall of the best teams in the country, it’s clear that my daughter has become one of a handful of the best athletes in the country in her sport at her age level. She’s worked hard and Duane’s ongoing strength training and nutrition reinforcement continues to make a real impact.

I want to thank you both for the personal attention and clear understanding of how to get the most out of these young athletes. Training and especially nutrition discussion is very sensitive stuff with teenage female athletes and you and Duane handle it masterfully. Very important for the organization and for me as a coach and a parent to see the fun and driven but sensitive approach.

I came to Pure Motivation Fitness with both my knees in terrible pain and barely able to carry me. Some of this was due to injury and some due to arthritis. Along with this, my right hip was suffering from the same maladies. I was dragging my hip along like an after -thought. my walk was similar to Chester’s in the old T.V show Gunsmoke.I felt that this was to be my fate for the rest of my life. i went to my doctor and he recommended that i go to Pure Motivation Fitness as he personally found them to be excellent. The state I was in, I was ready to try any new suggestion.

After describing my particular problems, an exercise program was designed specifically for my needs and training began. After only one session with my trainer Bianca I noticed a considerable difference which i found hard to believe myself.I have now completed 12 training sessions I originally signed up for and my walking is 98% normal. I have no more knee and/or hip pain except for the occasional twinge which i consider normal considering the state I was in when i started out.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about my trainer and the management at Pure Motivation Fitness. I literally have back, my ability to walk normally and be pain free.

This is my personal experience; I’m thrilled to have these results and to tell anyone who wants to hear- about them.
