Mateo first became interested in fitness during high school when he and a friend decided to join a gym. After seeing physical changes in his body, he was encouraged to continue. However, the way exercise made him feel is what motivated him to continue this new-found hobby which soon became a passion. He felt more energetic and more motivated in all aspects of his life.
Mateo completed his post-secondary education at Humber College, graduating with a Fitness and Health Promotion diploma. After graduating Mateo became CANFIT certified and began personal training adults and youth athletes with a focus on strength and conditioning.
