About Mateo Cordova

Mateo first became interested in fitness during high school when he and a friend decided to join a gym. After seeing physical changes in his body, he was encouraged to continue. However, the way exercise made him feel is what motivated him to continue this new-found hobby which soon became a passion. He felt more energetic and more motivated in all aspects of his life.

Mateo completed his post-secondary education at Humber College, graduating with a Fitness and Health Promotion diploma. After graduating Mateo became CANFIT certified and began personal training adults and youth athletes with a focus on strength and conditioning.

Mateo is also currently studying to become a Registered Massage Therapist. The knowledge he has attained from this has given him a deeper understanding of how the body functions and allows him to have a greater appreciation for the health and fitness field.

Mateo specializes in powerlifting, strength and conditioning, weight loss and rehabilitation. For him, being a personal trainer is about helping others become confident in themselves and their abilities. He believes in in promoting healthy and active living and educating others on the most effective way to incorporate this lifestyle into their current routines.

“Fitness is about so much more than exercise. It’s a catalyst for positive change, and it affects every aspect of your life.”
