From an early age, Rosemary faced challenges with her weight. At just 7 years old, she was introduced to swimming by her mother, marking the beginning of a transformative journey. For several years, she diligently attended swimming lessons, and by the time she was between 11 and 14, she was competing fervently. The thrill of the sport and the numerous medals she won fueled her passion. However, as she grew older, her weight continued to pose a challenge for her.
Fueled by a desire to understand the human body, Rosemary embarked on a degree in kinesiology and health science at York University. This period was particularly challenging, as she was navigating both her heaviest weight and the constraints of a pandemic that had shuttered gym facilities. Undeterred, Rosemary began working out at home, but soon recognized the value of expert guidance. She engaged a personal trainer, marking a significant milestone in her fitness journey which led her to lose over 40 lbs.
Rosemary’s personal transformation, combined with her academic insights into the intricacies of the human body, kindled a desire to help others achieve their fitness aspirations. Eager to expand her expertise, she pursued a certification in personal training. Today, Rosemary stands as a proud member of the PMF team, continuously evolving, learning from seasoned peers, and contributing her unique insights and experiences.
